Emphasizing its commitment to girls worldwide, Intel was a sponsor of Plan’s 2013 Because I Am a Girl gala, in celebration of the second International Day of the Girl at which Intel was presented with Plan International’s Girl Innovator award in recognition of extraordinary public-private partnerships.

Omnicom is very committed to spreading awareness about girls’ and women’s issues such as malnutrition, early marriage, lack of education, financial insecurity and exploitation. Through its generous contribution to support Plan International’s Because I am a Girl initiative, Omnicom is helping to ensure the promise and potential of present and future generations.

Alex and Ani and Plan are partnering on the Because I am a Girl initiative, which seeks to lift 4 million girls out of poverty by 2016. Through this cause-related marketing collaboration, 20 percent of all sales of the Because I am a Girl Patented Expandable Wire Bangle are donated to the initiative.


Microsoft shares Plan’s belief in increasing access to quality education for all children across the globe and, in doing so, recognizes the importance of promoting girls’ education. Through an innovative partnership, Plan and Microsoft will be enhancing digital literacy among students, educators and other community groups in developing countries worldwide. As a sponsor of Plan’s Because I am a Girl gala, in celebration of the third International Day of the Girl, Microsoft supported Plan’s global campaign for girls.

U.S. Chemicals has pledged its support for Plan’s “4 Million Girls Promise” through its sponsorship of the Because I am a Girl initiative. U.S. Chemicals’ commitment enables Plan to combat gender inequality by promoting girls’ rights through strategic interventions in education, health, economic security, and protection. In doing so, U.S. Chemicals is helping to underwrite a better future for many girls around the world.

Dior Beauty is dedicated to improving the lives of girls, young women, and their communities around the world. As a sponsor of Plan’s 2014 Because I Am a Girl gala, Dior Beauty is supporting Plan’s efforts to give girls access to basic human rights, including education, financial security, and protection from violence and exploitation.

Automatic Data Processing (ADP) As a sponsor of the 2014 Because I Am a Girl gala, ADP is enabling Plan to work with girls and their communities to address barriers that prevent girls from completing their education and realizing their full potential.

The Boston Consulting Group is committed to promoting the rights and improving the lives of girls worldwide. By sponsoring Plan's 2014 Because I Am a Girl gala, BCG is supporting Plan's efforts to improve girls' access to education and equip them with the assets they need to safeguard their future and promote gender equality. Additionally, BCG has provided pro bono support on the development of Plan's strategic plan.

Global Impact launched its Women & Girls Fund in 2014, seeking to increase awareness about issues affecting women and girls and raise funds from the private sector for select charity partners that focus on these issues. Contributions will address pressing issues including access to education, job skills training, prenatal and early childhood care, micro lending and access to safe drinking water. To address the aforementioned issues and increase the resources available to organizations helping women and girls in the developing world, Global Impact partners with organizations that are established leaders in this programmatic sector, including Plan International.
