Special letter from Ahuma
I just returned from a July trip to my home country of Ghana, and there is so much news to share with you!

In addition to visiting two of the 300 communities where Plan works in Ghana, we also had the opportunity to attend President Obama’s historic speech to the Ghanaian Parliament and to highlight Plan’s work on radio Ghana’s Joy FM (did you know that over 65% of Ghanaians get their news from listening to the radio?).

Perhaps most exciting was that Abigail, one of Plan's Ghanaian Youth Ambassadors, was able to attend the speech. Mixed in between the many ministers and parliamentary members, she was one of only two youth in attendance — and the only girl! Read Abigail's reaction.

We ended our trip with a visit to the communities of Tabosan and Asesewa. In addition to seeing all the great work the communities are undertaking with the help of Plan, we were invited to watch a soccer game between two girl teams. Watch our video to learn about how important soccer is to the development of girls in Tabosan.

Please read on to learn more about how much your support is helping children and communities in the Plan world!
