Youth Advisory Board

Thank you for your interest in Plan USA’s Youth Advisory Board.

You are applying to join a group run by youth whose purpose is to work with and advise Plan USA’s Board of Directors and Executive Team. You will work in close contact with the adults that make important decisions within Plan.

Plan USA is located in Rhode Island, and the YAB will meet throughout the year via online technology and less frequently at the RI office.

What you will do as a YAB member:

• Meet monthly with fellow YAB members via Skype or other technology
• Attend Board meetings at least once a year to meet with Board of Directors
• Advise Plan USA on issues regarding youth
• Connect with Plan youth abroad
• Develop projects and campaigns related to Plan’s work

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicant must be between the ages of 12 and 22
• Must have access to internet and communication technologies (i.e. Skype, microphone, webcam, etc.)
• Must live in the United States

Applications to Plan USA's Youth Advisory Board are accepted on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply, and all received applications will be considered when a new position becomes available.

The Youth Advisory Board Application and the Teacher Evaluation will help us gauge your leadership experience and skills important to the success of the YAB. Please fill in the information and answer the questions to the best of your ability using a variety of personal experiences.
