Plan in the news
Letter from the editor
Plan is committed to the fight for gender equality and to raising the status of girls to be equal to that of boys. That’s why we're proud to announce that a Plan delegation will be attending the 54th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, held this month.
The CSW is a policy-making body within the United Nations dedicated to gender equality and advancement of women. Every year the CSW meets to evaluate the status of girls' and women’s rights in political, economic, civil, social and educational fields across the world.
Plan will participate in this year’s session to raise awareness of girls' issues and call on UN Member States to make strategic investments in girls a critical priority.

Help Plan in the fight to stop child marriage.
Right now, there are an estimated 60 million child brides worldwide, some as young as 7 years old. A new congressional bill could give the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) more power to work with countries around the world to fight child marriage.
You can help us make sure it passes: sign our petition urging legislators to protect girls from child marriage by supporting this critical bill.
