Letter from the editor

July 12 marks the six month anniversary of the devastating earthquake in Haiti that killed over 200,000 people and left millions more homeless.

Plan remains on the ground in Haiti, helping thousands of Haitian children and families recover and rebuild for the future. Sponsors and donors around the world have helped to make our relief efforts possible and we thank you for your continued support.

Six months on, we are updating you with a special focus on Haiti, including the new Haiti Recovery section on our website. Here, you can read inspiring stories on our recovery work, learn about our achievements in health, education and psychosocial care, and get updates on sponsorship in post-earthquake Haiti.

You can also read our newest publication called Our Children’s Voice, a communication produced largely by Haitian children and youth for sponsors. We hope that their words will provide you some insight into the lives of Haiti’s children and the world in which they now live.

We invite you to read these stories about the children and families who survived the earthquake and the recovery efforts in Haiti six months after the earthquake.
