Letter from the editor

Hobsons Worldwide, a Plan corporate partner since 2005, recently traveled to Ghana to see firsthand how their donations were helping make a difference in the lives of children.

This year, Hobsons raised over $74,000 to build a new primary school complex in Techiman, Ghana - complete with 6 classrooms, a library, teacher’s office, water storage facility, and more.

A group of Hobsons employees visited the site of the new school, and was “welcomed with open arms and hearts” by members of the Techiman community. They noted how the community had improved facilities and access to clean water - and also how intelligent, confident, and happy the children were thanks to Plan’s support.

Hobsons UK's Holly Chandler said, "To see the work Plan did, and what Hobsons enabled Plan to do through our fundraising efforts was truly a humbling experience.”

Thanks to Hobsons’ generous donations, Plan has been able to give these children a better start in life and an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty they were born into.
