Video: Ivorian children play safely in Plan camps
As the violence in Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) continues, hundreds of thousands of people have poured across the border into neighboring Liberia. The vast majority of refugees are women and children who are now living in dire conditions in camps and villages scattered along the Liberian border.
Plan's emergency response program in Liberia is helping children regain a sense of normality by providing child-friendly spaces for children aged between 1-6, and primary school education for older children.
Watch this video as children, their parents and Plan staff talk about the war, and about the work that Plan is doing to bring a measure of happiness back to the children's lives and protect them while they wait for the conflict to end.
