Video: Youth skills training in East Timor
June 7, 2011
More than 75% of people in East Timor are under 30 years old - half are unemployed and struggling to find a livelihood. Plan, in partnership with the Oaktree Foundation, is providing training to hundreds of young people in Aileu District so they can learn how to run small businesses, and provide for themselves and their families. Activities range from coffee production to vegetable, chicken, goat and fish farming.
