UN Secretary General welcomes Plan

UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, greets Plan CEO Tom Miller, Paul Arlman (Chairman of Plan’s International Board), and Mr. Young Chan Lo (Chairman of Board of Plan Korea) at UN Headquarters in New York.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon this week met a Plan delegation at his offices in New York. The delegation, led by Tom Miller, Plan CEO and Paul Arlman, Chairman of Plan’s International Board discussed a variety of development issues.
The CEO and Chairman provided the Secretary General with a brief history of Plan and our work, as well as discussing global issues affecting children and past and future partnerships with UN agencies.
The Secretary General, who had come across Plan during his time as a diplomat, welcomed our cooperation with UN agencies, our contribution to development, and our work with children. He also raised his concerns about the increasing vulnerability of humanitarian workers around the world.
The SG ended the meeting by congratulating Plan on our 70th birthday and wishing us continued success in the future.
