Plan International USA Welcomes Elizabeth Murdock Myers to the Board of Directors
Plan International USA announced today the addition of Elizabeth Murdock Myers to its Board of Directors. Ms. Myers’ tenure began in September 2012.
“I am honored to join the Plan International USA Board of Directors,” said Elizabeth Murdock Myers. “A passion of mine is to work to improve the living conditions of girls throughout the world. Plan's dedication to this mission inspired me to deepen my personal commitment by becoming a member of the Board.”
Elizabeth Murdock Myers is currently a corporate partner at Hinckley Allen & Snyder LLP. She joins the Plan Board with extensive experience in corporate, antitrust, and health care law, having represented both for-profit and non-profit organizations before the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general. Additional practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, trade regulation, and gaming.
Before joining Hinckley Allen & Snyder, Ms. Myers served as Executive Counsel to the Governor’s Office in Rhode Island. She is involved with numerous civic and charitable organizations aside from Plan, including the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Textron Chamber of Commerce Academy, and the Providence Performing Arts Center. Ms. Myers also serves as the Chairperson of WaterFire Providence. In 1992, she was appointed by Senators Inouye and McCain to draft amendments to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. Ms. Myers is a member of the American and Rhode Island Bar Associations and is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Ohio.
