My Visit With Eva
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to visit your sponsored child? While on a recent business trip to Honduras, Rolf Wulfsberg was able to meet his sponsored child, Eva, and her family. This is his story...
Monday began early in the morning. I jumped out of bed at 3:00 AM full of excitement and anticipation knowing that the next day I would actually get to meet my sponsored child, Eva. I shaved, showered, dressed, and headed to LaGuardia airport for my 6:00 AM flight to Miami.
Upon clearing customs in Tegucigalpa, I was now ready to face a country that I didn’t know and a language that I didn’t speak...

Help Us Deliver the Urgent Aid Needed in Mali
Two years after erratic rainfall and an attack of pests destroyed entire harvests and a year after the conflict began, more than 447,000 people - half of them children - have fled fighting in northern part of the country. The displaced are now scattered across six countries.
In early 2012, Plan deployed emergency teams to deliver immediate aid to desperate children and families.
With your support, we have set up refugee camps that provide vital aid to hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children and adults in some of the worst hit areas of Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Cameroon, and Senegal. This aid includes: food, educational kits and classes for students, safe water and sanitation, and psychological support and protection for children and their families.
This aid is just part of Plan's response to the complex emergency situation that is still unfolding in the Sahel region of West Africa as new refugees arrive at the camps each day.
You can help continue this life-saving work. Please give to the Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund. Your donations will enable us to expand operations and deliver aid to the families and children who need it the most!
