Daughters of War

May 30, 2014
Plan International is working in Liberia, offering vocational training to those who need it most.

The orphaned girls and women who were children during Liberia's war missed out on school. Now selling sex is their only way to survive, and their own daughters may have no choice but to follow in their footsteps. The women are struggling to cope in the aftermath of war, desperate to change the future so that the next generation will not be like them.

To help, Plan has established the Girl Power Project to offer vocational training for young women. The project provides hope to those who need it most, changes lives, and creates a path toward a better future.
