Educate about child exploitation

To help educate your peers about child rights and child exploitation it can be helpful for them to become familiar with the rights children have, and how these rights are often exploited. The activities below are great interactive tools to educate your peers and get them to start thinking outside the box. Choose one and get started today!

Run an interactive activity with your club or class!
If you have 30-45 minutes try the CAUTION! WORK AHEAD art activity, or the Trying to Escape! activity to help your peers learn about the risk factors for child trafficking.

Do a Teach-In!
Only have 10-15 minutes? Check out this Rights, Wants and Needs activity to educate your peers about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Or, check out this activity on child exploitation: educate your peers about certain real-life situations, and have them decide what path they would choose!

Show a film!
Reserve a space in your school or community and show a film highlighting the issue of child exploitation. You could show the film during a class, after school or in the evening. Encourage your teachers to give students who attend extra credit. You can choose films from our Child Exploitation Film List or you can find one of your own.
