Escaping the violence in Colombia

Colombia’s long-running armed conflict has seen 70,000 people killed over the past 20 years and 3,000,000 people forced to flee their homes.

This video follows a Plan-funded social project which teaches children from displaced families how to play orchestral instruments. It offers children an escape from the tough reality outside the school gates and, organizers hope, a chance to break the cycle of poverty and violence.
