Endowed Sponsorship

An Endowed Sponsorship gift is fully tax deductible as allowed by law, and any unused portion of the income tax deduction can be carried over for up to the next five years.

Through this simple yet valuable program, your sponsorship support of a child and family can continue forever.
A Plan USA Endowed Sponsorship is a way you can guarantee, with a single, tax-deductible gift of $7,500, the sponsorship support of a needy child and family in perpetuity. By creating an Endowed Sponsorship, you are fully funding your sponsorship permanently: your donation will be invested in our Endowed Sponsorship Fund and the interest earned will pay the sponsorship fee now and into the future. When your current sponsored child graduates, a new child will be selected for sponsorship in your name according to your instructions.

Donor stories*
"I cannot remember when my wife Julie and I first became 'Foster Parents' through Plan USA," said Mr. Frank Conway, who has set up an Endowed Sponsorship for Mylene, a 14-year-old girl from the Philippines that he has been sponsoring. "Julie was the letter writer in our family. She greatly enjoyed corresponding with our foster children."
Julie passed away in 1999 at the age of 81. After her death, it was emotionally difficult for Frank to assume the task of writing. "With time, though, it has become a true pleasure. Mylene, like my own daughters at her age, is growing up unbelievably fast," he says.
After receiving information from Plan USA about the Endowed Sponsorship program, Frank decided to establish one for Mylene. Frank set up his Endowed Sponsorship in Julie's name. "Julie was a very giving person. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her energy seemed infinite," said Frank.
The Julie Conway Endowed Sponsorship is a wonderful gift to Plan USA that will provide benefits for many years to come. It is also a loving gift in memory of Frank's wife, Julie, a strong and giving person who cared about helping children in need throughout her 81 years.
