How does child sponsorship work?
Plan is an international organization. That means sponsors from around the world have a sponsored child in your child’s community. Your contribution dollars are combined with those of other sponsors to strengthen the fabric of the world in myriad ways, depending on the specific needs of the communities with which we partner.
In addition to building schools, health clinics, latrines, and clean-water wells, the ongoing commitment of child sponsorship allows a steady stream of funds that Plan can effectively allocate to ensure community development and help break the painful cycle of poverty for millions of children and their families.
How are your dollars used?
Plan is an international children’s development agency with no religious or political affiliation. We work in about 50 developing countries around the world, aiming to overcome poverty and secure a brighter future for children and their families worldwide.
