December 2017: A Celebration

Plan International is working to ensure Rohingya girls and women are living in a safe and sanitary environment.

Letter from the Editor

This is the time of year to celebrate!

The holiday season is a great time to reflect on the past year and celebrate all we’ve achieved and accomplished.

At Plan, we’re celebrating everyone who gave back so that children around the world could move from a life of poverty to a future filled with opportunity. Everyone, from child sponsors and one-time donors to corporate partners, played an important part in all of our success. Our donors and supporters believe in altruism and selflessness, in prioritizing a greater good. For that, we are grateful.

While we celebrate, we recognize that there is plenty of work to be done. Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya have been displaced in Bangladesh. A food crisis persists in Eastern Africa. Many girls around the world are still not in school or are forced into marriage. Because of these reasons and many more, we persist. We’re thankful that our donors and supporters are by our side.
