Emergency WASH Assistance for Communities Affected by Tropical Storm Amanda

The Emergency WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Assistance for Communities Affected by Tropical Storm Amanda project will address the urgent needs of 40 communities severely affected in El Salvador. The project will support the distribution of hygiene kits, menstrual hygiene management kits, and safe water kits to support basic WASH needs for more than 5,000 individuals. Plan will work closely with community groups and community health workers to implement the project in La Libertad, San Salvador and Chalatenango.

In addition, the project will raise awareness around hygiene promotion, safe handwashing practices, safe water storage, COVID-19 awareness and prevention, and prevention of mosquito-borne and gastrointestinal diseases.
