Youth Advisory Board Member
Fatima is an undergraduate at The College of William & Mary, where she studies marketing and sociology. As a native of Nicaragua and a business major, she is interested in the power of social media and activism for development issues. At school, Fatima is the president of The Female Quotient Lounge, a student organization focused on the professional development of women. She also serves as a communications intern in the Office of Sustainability and is vice president of the school’s Chi Omega chapter. Fatima is the co-founder of Outspeak Marketing, a social media marketing agency to help small businesses engage Gen Z.
Fatima became a member of Plan International USA’s Youth Advisory Board in 2016, after attending Plan’s Youth Leadership Academy (YLA). She has led the YLA subcommittee and is the coordinator for 2020’s virtual YLA. She has represented Plan at various events with The Female Quotient, The New York Leadership Council, Nickelodeon, AdWeek and Alex and Ani.
