Plan International USA partners with government agencies and organizations to maximize our impact and achieve common goals. Included in these important alliances are U.S. government partners and multi-lateral donors.

U.S. Government Donors

United States Agency for International Development (USAID) - USAID is Plan International USA’s largest institutional donor and has been instrumental to expanding our work in the communities that we reach. Present in more than 100 countries, USAID focuses on improving lives in the developing world by promoting economic prosperity; strengthening democracy and good governance; protecting human rights; improving global health; and furthering education; among other goals. United States Department of State - The Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (State/PRM) has funded multiple refugee assistance awards for Plan’s work, including support for Afghan refugees in Pakistan and Malian refugees in Burkina Faso. Multi-Lateral Donors

The Global Sanitation Fund - The Global Sanitation Fund awarded Plan more than $12 million in funding to implement a five-year Sanitation and Hygiene program in rural Cambodia. Learn more about the Global Sanitation Fund by visiting their website.

World Bank - Plan International USA helps manage the flow of grants from the Bank through host governments to Plan in local communities. Plan successfully implemented a World Bank Education grant in Cameroon with the purpose of reforming schools and rehabilitating classrooms, as well as increasing quality of and access to education.
