In 2015, Plan International became the proud inaugural partner of Nickelodeon International’s Together for Good campaign, Nickelodeon International’s (NICK) first-ever global pro-social campaign. The campaign celebrated kids all over the world who are making a positive difference – at home, at school, and in their communities. NICK and Plan showcased positive role models and inspired kids globally to get involved and become change agents through a global competition. The campaign launched with TV and online spots encouraging children aged 6 to 17 years to log on to good.nickelodeon.tv to learn how to get involved. Viewers were invited to download a How-to Guide, complete a project for good, and enter a global contest by uploading photos or videos and descriptions of their project(s). Reaching more than 130 countries in 13 languages, the number of submissions sent by the kids in a three-week timeframe totaled 1,000.

NICK viewers were then invited to vote for their favorite projects. Regional winners were celebrated on NICK’s websites and social channels in their respective regions and one lucky finalist – Esteban from Guatemala – was selected by NICK and Plan to receive the ultimate prize, an all-expense-paid trip to the U.S. to attend the Nickelodeon USA Halo Awards event as a VIP guest in November 2015. With more than 22,770 downloads of the How-to Guide, 76,700-plus contest votes cast, and over 373,100 unique website visits to Together for Good, we are excited to launch Phase Two of the partnership in early 2017.
