Plan International has operated in Burkina Faso since 1976, working to help children access their rights to education, health, sanitation and protection across 160 communities in the country.
Office Locations and Unit Operations:
Plan Burkina Faso’s country office is in Ougadougou, with program unit offices in Namentenga, Sanmatenga Bam, Kourittenga, and South West.
Technical Areas:
Plan’s core technical areas include the promotion of quality education and good health practices, teacher training, and support for children affected by HIV. Currently, we are working on the second phase of the BRIGHT (Burkinabe Response to Improve Girl’s chances to Succeed) project, which aims to develop six classrooms the Namentenga and Sanmatenga regions.
