Plan International has operated in Haiti since 1973, aiding communities in child protection initiatives, education development programs, and the fight against poverty.

Plan Haiti’s country office is located in Port-Au-Prince, with program unit offices in Fort Liberte, Croix de Bouquets, and Jacmel.
Plan Haiti emphasizes community participation in solving community based problems by helping to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to make a change. In direct collaboration with Haitian authorities and Haitian citizens, Plan Haiti focuses on the following technical areas: extreme poverty, violence, maternal mortality, water and sanitation, health, education, and disaster risk.
