Plan has operated in Liberia since 1982, helping children access rights to education, health, and protection. Plan ceased operations in Liberia following civil unrest in 1990, but reopened in 2006.

Plan Liberia’s country office is located in Monrovia, with programs unit offices in Lofa and Bomi.
Plan Liberia works to increase access to basic education, support caregivers, and increase birth registration awareness. We currently focus on supporting the growth and development of war- affected children in 77 communities across the country, notably by refurbishing 954 schooling institutions and over 20,000 wells.
