TechMuda
Indonesia
TechMuda trained 150 out-of-school youth (70% of whom were young women) with market-driven technology and employability skills and transitioned them into the IT sector.
What we did
TechMuda built the capacity of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Centers while working closely with government ministries, industry associations/HR forums and start-up networks. The project aimed to recruit marginalized young women and created a mentorship program, internships, industry-led workshops, an industry network and training of trainers for TVET staff.
The project aimed to place at least 80% of graduates in full-time or self-employed job opportunities that offer minimum wage or above with insurance benefits.
This project was funded by JP Morgan.
