Sara Moore began working with Plan International USA at age 12, as a member of Plan’s Youth United for Global Action and Awareness (YUGA) program, which empowered young people to be active members of the global community.
Continuing her leadership with the organization, she co-founded Plan’s Youth Advisory Board. She also served four years on the Global Youth Advisory Panel, where she helped develop a strategy for incorporating youth participation in Plan’s global governance structure.
Ms. Moore graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rhode Island College in 2014 and is pursuing her M.D./Ph.D. at the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. She is passionate about health care equality, medical research, and believes in the power of young people to create sustainable change.
