Youth Advisory Board Member
Thuba (she/her) is an international student from Zimbabwe. She’s a senior at Talladega College majoring in industrial and organizational psychology. She is an advocate for gender equality and transformative education through a feminist approach, serving in her city council as junior mayor and partnering with the Plan Zimbabwe office to further her advocacy. She has represented Plan USA’s Youth Advisory Board in numerous speaking engagements, including a consultation with the White House Gender Policy Council on technology-accountability policies.
Thuba also serves as a global panelist under Youth for Education in Emergencies, where she recently participated in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. As a delegate, she delivered interventions with regards to financing girl-led and feminist groups, as well as restructuring the global finance architecture to empower low-income countries to further their work in achieving the sustainable development goals.
