In addition to health risks, the lack of quality, private sanitation facilities leaves girls vulnerable to harassment and abuse. With a GirlEngage Training Session, adolescent girls in Senegal will work with us to design an innovative program that ensures girls are able to learn and thrive in post-primary educational opportunities — free from the pressures to marry early.

But amid this ongoing crisis, parents are out of work, cannot afford heat and are worried about keeping their children safe as temperatures drop.
