When a girl gets her period, it’s likely she won’t go to school. Often, it’s because her school doesn’t have a girls’ bathroom. In addition to health risks, the lack of quality, private sanitation facilities leaves girls vulnerable to harassment and abuse. But your gift will build a safe bathroom at a school so that girls don’t have to sacrifice their education during their periods!
Contaminated water can transmit cholera, dysentery, typhoid and even polio. But with your gift, you’ll help build new clean water systems and prevent the spread of disease for schools in Cambodia. You’ll also support children’s education around the importance of clean water, hygiene and nutrition!
Girls in Zimbabwe don’t just deserve an education — they deserve to study at a school that’s surrounded by beauty. When you plant a school garden, you’ll bring life and color to the girls’ school, providing nutritious vegetables to eat and opportunities to learn about gardening.
Your gift will provide training for girls’ and children’s parents and guardians on trafficking and human smuggling, gender equality, positive upbringing, crime reporting and trafficking laws. With this gift, parents can better keep their children safe.
What does it mean to be a man? Too many boys are brought up to believe that treating girls and women as inferior is what they’re supposed to do. But by participating in the Reshaping the Boys’ Club project, boys and young men in Zimbabwe will learn that being a man means seeing girls and women as their equals.
Your gift will create a space for girls at school in Zimbabwe where they can study, socialize and have a safe environment to enjoy their childhoods.
Many children rely on school meals when they don’t have any food to eat at home — but not every school has the resources to give hungry students what they need. Your gift will help provide schools in Cambodia with new kitchens, dining halls and nutritious breakfasts! With you, children will stay energized and thrive while they learn.
With your gift, 10 survivors will receive the housing, counseling, education and job training they need to recover and create a better future for themselves and their families. Your support also strengthens checkpoints in dangerous border areas, helps intercept trafficked girls and exposes the cruel tricks and promises of predators. You can help entire communities better protect their children against sexual exploitation and forced labor.
Maybe coding is her talent, but she doesn’t know because she’s never used a computer. Or maybe her passion is photography, but she’s never held a camera. You can provide children in Guatemala with technology training when you give the gift of Tech Taught! Technical staff will teach program participants how to use and maintain technology, as well as how technology can help them become young entrepreneurs.

If the need for a particular item is filled or Plan’s fundraising goal for the project has been met, we will apply your donation to a similar project or where needed most.
