Give a Gift of HopeBecause of the stigma surrounding menstruation, many girls in India don’t understand what’s happening when they get their first periods. Your gift will help to bridge this critical gap by providing awareness-raising sessions at school, helping girls to better understand their bodies and making it possible for them to get the menstrual health education they need!

When a girl gets her period, it’s likely she won’t go to school. Often, it’s because her school doesn’t have a girls’ bathroom. In addition to health risks, the lack of quality, private sanitation facilities leaves girls vulnerable to harassment and abuse. But your gift will build a safe bathroom at a school in India so that girls don’t have to sacrifice their education during their periods!
According to the CDC, hand-washing can prevent one in three diarrhea-related illnesses and one in five respiratory infections. You can help communities integrate good hygiene practices and fight disease with a new hand-washing station.
You can help identify and maintain safe water sources by funding committees that work together to plan and execute clean water strategies for their communities.
For girls in Zimbabwe, accessing menstrual health products can be nearly impossible. Your Menstrual Health Kit will provide adolescent girls with two packets of disposable pads, one bar of soap, laundry cleaner and lotion!

With a smart pump, you can help make sure that the local water source gets fixed faster — which means children won’t have to miss school to collect water. Smart pump devices send the village water committee members a cell phone alert whenever the pump isn’t working. With all of the important information sent to their phones, committee members can act quickly to get clean water flowing again.
