Plan is committed to transparency and accountability

For over 85 years, Plan International USA has been part of a global network striving for a just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls.

Powered by our dedicated supporters, we partner with adolescent girls and children in more than 67,000 communities around the world to overcome oppression and gender inequality. We provide support and resources unique to their needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential with dignity, opportunity and safety. Our goal is to empower communities with the tools, knowledge and commitment to remove obstacles and create paths to a better life for everyone. This approach not only builds sustainable development programs, but the capacity of communities to continue their progress on their own terms.

Our commitment to accountability and ethical practices is at the core of everything we do. We believe that our donors and sponsors are truly partners in our mission, and we are dedicated to ensuring that their contributions are managed with complete transparency and integrity, ensuring every dollar is used to create meaningful and lasting change.

Fundraising:

Our fundraising campaigns are thoughtfully planned and carefully managed to balance the rising costs of donor recruitment with our commitment to maximizing the resources that directly support the children and communities we serve.

Management and general:

We  work diligently to ensure contributions from our donors are used efficiently and effectively, meeting the highest standards of accountability, including those set by the  Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance. As thought leaders in the field of international development, we’re constantly developing innovative and sustainable solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges. Experience has shown us the value of investing in a skilled and dedicated staff, as well as a strong infrastructure, to support our mission and create lasting change.

It’s not simple work, but it’s work that matters. The generous support from our donors and sponsors makes our mission possible — creating a world where every child, especially girls, can learn, lead, decide and thrive. Together, we won’t stop until we are all equal.
