At the YLA, you’ll make lifelong friends and become a part of Plan’s national network of young leaders who are advancing gender equality and elevating young voices. By the end of the program, you’ll have implemented an impactful project that engages your peers and makes a difference in your community, with the support of a mentor from Plan’s Youth Advisory Board

After the Youth Leadership Academy, Rohini went on to do an International Day of the Girl takeover with Viacom and then she joined the Plan USA Youth Advisory Board (YAB).

After the Youth Leadership Academy, Sandra participated in International Day of the Girl events with The Female Quotient and Comic Relief. She then went on to join Plan’s Global Young Influencers Group.

After the Youth Leadership Academy, Grace participated in an International Day of the Girl event with The Body Shop and she helped design their Youth Activism campaign for 2022.

You’ll be invited to special events, have the opportunity to advocate for policy change, apply for Plan’s Youth Advisory Board and engage in activities to advance gender equality — like Plan’s International Day of the Girl Youth Summit.
